Barbecue Sauced Kebabs

Nice weather brings barbecuing season.  Here's an awesome recipe for Barbecue Sauced Kebabs.

Combine in small bowl:
  1/2 c. hot style catsup
  2 T. brown sugar
  1 T. lemon juice
  1 t. vinegar
  1 t. worcestershire sauce

Assemble:
  1 T. cooking oil
1 medium zucchini, cut in 1 inch slices, halved
1 lb. sirloin steak, cut in 1" cubes
16 oz can whole potatoes, drained
  1 T. Snipped parsley
  Cooked white rice

Preheat broiler or grill.  Brush zucchini lightly with oil.  On long skewers alternately thread beef, potatoes and zucchini.  Brush with catsup mixture.  Broil 4-5 inches from heat for about 10 minutes.  Use meat fork as pictured to turn kebabs over, brush again and broil 10 minutes more.  Brush occasionally with sauce. Stir parsley into rice.  Serve kebabs on rice.  Makes 4 servings.  Enjoy!

Hints:  Make extra sauce to serve at the table.  Other veggies that work well include: mushrooms, green pepper, cherry tomatoes, white onions.
